Between 11:30 Friday to 3:30 a.m. Saturday, a Hollister resident
awakened to find herself being sexually assaulted. This occurred
after she attended a party in Sacramento where alcohol was
involved, became sleepy and laid down in a guest bedroom. When she
realized what was happening, the victim pushed the assailant away
and ran out. Police report that later that night she met a second
victim who reported the same thing having happened to her earlier
in the night. The matter is under investigation by the Sacramento
Police Department. No arrests have been made, but there is a person
of interest.

Rape

Vehicle Theft
An automobile was stolen from a parking stall at 11:10 p.m. Saturday. The 1990 Ford sedan was taken from 384 Nash Road, and then was recovered approximately two hours later.
Burglary
A storage unit was burglarized at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Fifth Street. Police report multiple stolen items, including power tools and a purse.
Sexual Battery
Someone reported that between 3 a.m. and 11 a.m. Aug. 3 she was drugged and sexually battered while incapacitated. A suspect was identified, and the case was filed with the district attorney’s office. No further details were available at press time.
