Laugh out loud anytime of the day
Where to find it: Funny or Die

Who runs the site: The explanation of who started the site is
way funnier if you read the

section on the Web site, but since copying it verbatim would be
plagiarism, I will just summarize it. Gary Sanchez Productions
(Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy) teamed up with a bunch
of people from Silicon Valley and an aspiring comedian whose dad
gave them some capital. But really read the about us section.
Who is likely to use the site: The Youtube generation is most
likely the target for the site, as well as up-and-coming comedians
who want to get some recognition for their work. But it’s a great
place to visit for anyone who really needs a laugh pronto.

Pros: It used to be hard to find short films and videos anywhere outside of film schools, but the advent of streaming video technology has changed that.
At Funny or Die, users get to vote on whether a video is funny, or if it should “die.” One of the things that makes Funny or Die so great is that it has exclusive videos made by celebrities such as Will Ferrell and starring other actors. It’s cool to look at these hilarious shorts and discover participants such as Seth Rogen or Jerry O’Connell.
One video makes this Web site the best – “The Landlord.” The video made the Internet circuit a year ago, but now on Funny or Die, users can see outtakes or view the “criterion edition.” In that, Ferrell and partner Adam McKay talk about the making of the short.
Some users have created “series” on the site and one of the funniest ones is “McCain’s Brain.” There are five videos on the site that use real video broadcast from news conferences or debates with a phony soundtrack of what McCain might really be thinking.
The site also has videos by amateurs and up and coming comedians, who can join to post their pieces. No login is required to view the videos.
Cons: The only downside is that there are so many videos on the site, it would be impossible to watch them all – and it’s definitely not a good idea to visit the site on deadline.
