The Dollar Tree store in Hollister destroyed by a December 2013 fire has reopened.
The store reopened Saturday. A larger store layout than the prior one drew crowds and a packed parking lot.
A December 2013 fire destroyed the building that housed Dollar Tree, Larry’s Liquors and Neighborhood Pizza. Permitting and construction work have been under way at the 550 Tres Pinos Road site since earlier in the year.
Dollar Tree months ago received a site and architectural review approval for an expansion at the 550 Tres Pinos Road location, a 13,400-square-foot site in total.
Next door, it appears Grocery Outlet at some point is moving into the neighboring location currently occupied by Goodwill and Hi Outlet at 550 Tres Pinos Road. Emeryville-based Grocery Outlet has pulled a liquor license for the 550 Tres Pinos Road location, although there is no other information immediately available on specific plans for the site.
