Vandalism

The driver’s side window of a Chevrolet Avalanche was broken at about 7pm Thursday in the 200 block of Miller Road in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

A sidewalk was spray-painted with ‘Norteño’ and ‘XIV’ at about 10:30pm Saturday at the intersection of Apricot Lane and Line Street in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects.

Robbery

A man was robbed of his wallet at about 3:44am Saturday in the 600 block of Fifth Street in Hollister, police said. Six men assaulted the victim, causing cuts on his face and hands, police said. There is no suspect information.

Burglary

Two storage sheds were broken into at about 1pm Saturday in the first block of Hawkins Street in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects or information about stolen items.

A home with an unlocked door was entered at about 4:30pm Saturday in the 100 block of Fallon Road in Hollister, police said. An Xbox video game console and a gold ring were taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Assault

An 18-year-old man was assaulted by two women and one man at about 7:30pm Saturday in the 1000 block of Westside Boulevard in Hollister, police said. There is no suspect information.

Arrests

Assault and Rape

Juan Tamayo Martinez, 20, of Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and rape, both felonies, after officers responded to a call at 7:38pm, police said. A woman told officers she’d been beaten and raped between 11pm Friday and 7:38pm Saturday, police said.

Domestic Violence

Silbiano Zapata, 51, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, after officers responded to a disturbance call at 10:55pm Saturday, police said. A woman had small cuts on her lips, police said.

Ernesto Zamora Jr., 22, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, after officers responded to a disturbance call at 3:30am Saturday in Hollister, police said. A woman had been pushed, hitting her nose on a chair, police said.

Assault, Evading Peace Officers, Hit and Run

Jacob Anthony Bancroft, 26, of Redwood Valley, Calif., was arrested by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and recklessly evading peace officers, both felonies, and hit and run, a misdemeanor, after officers shocked him with Taser guns at 7:04pm Saturday on San Lorenzo Drive in Hollister, police said. A man attempted to run down officers with his vehicle in the parking lot of Sam’s Liquors on San Benito Street, police said. The officers jumped out of the way, and the man hit a patrol car, police said. Officers then chased the man through Hollister streets, eventually pursuing him on foot and shocking him with Taser guns, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
