Caltrans has announced expected closures next week related to work on Highway 156.
According to a Caltrans announcement:
Caltrans maintenance crews will be grinding and paving the on and off ramps along Highways 156 and 101 near San Juan Bautista for four days, starting next Monday, Oct. 12, Caltrans officials have announced.
Work hours will be from 9 am to 3 pm each day and roadwork will be as follows:
Monday, Oct. 12 and Tuesday, Oct. 13- Closure of off ramp at Hwy. 101 northbound to Hwy. 156. Traffic will be detoured to Hwy. 129, or Rocks Rd.
Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Oct. 15—Closure of the on ramp from Hwy. 156 to Hwy. 101 southbound. Traffic will be detoured to Hwy. 129.
Electronic message signs will be posted in advance to alert motorists of this work, which is being done by our Hollister maintenance crew. The CHP will also be present to assist with traffic control. Roadwork is necessary for the preservation of the road and safety of the traveling public. It is scheduled to be completed on Thursday, Oct. 15.
