The National Weather Service sent out an alert for possible thunderstorms Wednesday night in San Benito County and throughout a large swath of the state.
The forecast notes that “sub-tropical moisture moving north will bring a chance of thunderstorms to parts of the region” and calls for a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms or showers Wednesday night.
On Thursday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m., according to the forecast.
It is expected to be mostly sunny Friday and Saturday before a slight chance of rain
