Thanks to Teachers, Dancers Who Made Concert Special

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Margret O’Donnel from the San Benito High School Life Skills class, dance instructor Patricia McArdle and the high school dance company for allowing the life skills class to participate in their recent dance concert “Rhythm Nation” performed on Dec. 14.
The kids performed to “Play that Funky Music” and were accompanied by some members of Dance C.
Due to the warm heart and generosity of instructor Patricia McArdle, my daughter and other members of the life skills class are allowed to be a part of the daily regular dance class.
I can assure you that they practiced and worked diligently to learn their steps, albeit to the best of their abilities. Although their coordination may be off due to their physical or mental disabilities, the regular dancers warmly accepted them into their dance group.
For this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My daughter, Jennifer, had what turned out to be a memorable and truly fantastic time as I am sure the other students did as well.
We are fortunate to have an instructor such as Patricia McArdle in our community. She is respected and loved by all of her students, not just those in the life skills class. She is beyond doubt a wonderful individual who has the respect and admiration of many.
I thank her for allowing our kids to participate in not only her regular dance class, but also to perform on opening night.
The members of Dance C, which the kids danced with, are special and their act of kindness is noted and deeply appreciated.
Lastly, Margaret O’Donnel, who gave up her time during her own personal time of crisis to show up and lend her support, is an amazing woman and I thank her for her dedication to our special kids whom we all know, you treat as your own kids.
