CAR THEFT:
Elia Sagale, 34, a transient, was arrested by Hollister police for vehicle theft, a felony, and a misdemeanor domestic battery warrant after a witness saw him driving a stolen 1993 Ford Aerostar van in the area of Sunnyslope Road and Clearview Drive in Hollister, police said. Sagale fled from police and was found in a field in the 300 block of Sunnyslope Road at 4:38pm on Monday, police said.
BURGLARY:
Unknown suspects stole a lap-top computer, wireless radio and cell phone from a car parked in the 400 block of Bordeaux Place in Hollister sometime between Monday and Tuesday, police said.
Unknown suspects stole $2,500 in power tools from a pick-up truck parked in the 900 block of Meridian Street in Hollister sometime between Monday and Tuesday, police said.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:
Jeanette Chapman Kelsey, 43, of Merced, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at Shore Road east of Lake Road at 6:10pm on Tuesday, police said.
THREATS:
Dino Vincent Ratsep, 41, of 136 Joe’s Ln. in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies around noon on Monday for threatening to beat up his female landlord, a felony, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
