The city of San Juan Bautista is holding a public hearing March 6 to receive input from the community about spending priorities related to its Community Development Block Grant application for next year’s budget.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 311 Second St.
Members of the community are encouraged to come out and voice priorities and opinions of programs for the city in the “Notice of Funding Availability.”
Activities for consideration include homeownership assistance and housing rehabilitation programs, public facility and public improvement projects, public service programs, among other possibilities, according to the city.
The city of Hollister recently approved a resolution to hire a contract grant administrator to help comply with state rules in regards to the CDBG the city recently received. Nearly $2 million will go to building a new Community Food Bank and provide funds for Meals on Wheels and the Youth Empowerment Program.
