A rally will be held at the school in the afternoon Friday with
the Homecoming Parade starting at 3 p.m. at Polk and Third streets
in downtown San Juan Bautista. The girls’ varsity basketball game
starts at 5:30 p.m. with the boys’ varsity basketball game at 7
p.m. Both are playing Gonzales. The Homecoming King and Queen will
be announced at 6:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. is the annual snowboarding

Burt’s Bees: A skin care seminar will be held at The Old Flower Mill, 853 San Benito Street, on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited, so RSVP to 831-635-0195.

Library Meeting: The next Friends of the Library Board meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 19 at noon. The meeting will be held earlier to see if that time would be more convenient for members to attend.

Book Sale: The next book sale will be Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the patio behind the Historical Society House next to the library.

Smoke Alarms: The Hollister Rotary Smoke Alarm Project is offering smoke alarm installation, or inspection, free of charge to seniors and disadvantaged families Saturday, March 20. For more information, call Mike Thompson at 638-1399.

Youth Football: Hollister Youth Football and Cheer teams have been completely filled by mail-in registration with the following exceptions:

Football: There are still openings for the following ages and weights: 10 to 11 years old, 70 to 110 pounds; 12 years old, 70 to 90 pounds; 12 to 14 years old, 95 to 145 pounds; and 15 years old, 95 to 125 pounds.

Cheer: Small sized squads are currently full, however waiting list applications are being accepted for ages 9 through 12. If enough applications are turned in, and coaching help is available, a large sized squad might be formed.

Red Hot Revue: The City of Gilroy Community Services Department and John Bisceglie present a 1920s style multi-media spectacular at Gilroy High School Theater, 750 W. 10th Street in Gilroy from Friday, Feb. 12 to Sunday, Feb. 22. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There will be two matinee performances each Sunday at 1 and 5 p.m. Admission is $10. Retirement Plan: This workshop will present an overview of most often utilized small business retirement plans. It will be held Thursday, Feb. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gavilan Small Business Development Center Offices located at 8351 Church Street, Building E in Gilroy.
