My name is Amy Armenta. I am a 13-year-old honor student at Southside School who has been chosen to represent the Central Coast area of California as a student ambassador with the People to People program. This program was started by President D. Eisenhower to promote better relations between the countries of the world.

The trip I have chosen to attend includes 21 days in seven countries of Europe. We will travel during the month of July.

I need help to realize my dream of traveling this summer. The bill for my trip totals more than $5,000. My mother has asked me to try and raise half of that amount on my own.

I look forward to representing Hollister throughout Europe and will strive to make you all proud.

Thanks for helping me to reach my goal.

To find out more about how to make a donation, call 630-0900. There will also be a rummage sale at the Scout House Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.

Amy Armenta,

Hollister
