“There is so much going on here in Hollister lately, and I think it’s about time to have a recall vote to remove the current DA from his position. He has not been doing what he supposedly promised us citizens who voted for him. He seems to spend more time thinking of ways not to do his job and to have others do everything for him. These politicians always make promises during the election process, and when they get in there, they seem to forget what it took to get there; and now with the recall of Governor Gray Davis, this should be a message to all elected officials (especially here in San Benito County!) that we voted them in, and we can vote them out and replace them too.

From what I have been reading about the criminal grand jury, I really don’t see how the DA can do this. If the Board of Supervisors has anything to do with it, then it’s understandable because they are all crooked and don’t care about us taxpayers. My message to the DA and all the other politicians in this county is ‘What goes around comes around,’ and the lies you are telling today will come back eventually to haunt you and hopefully the new generation will see through your lies and make San Benito County a better place to live for their children and grandchildren.”

“I am writing to address what I believe is a huge problem in San Benito County. The problem I am referring to is the methamphetamine epidemic that has engulfed many people in our community. With respect to DEA, Hollister Police and San Benito Sheriff, the arrests that were made several months ago are to be commended. However, what has been done recently?

Forget about just going after producers and dealers only. You need to go after anyone that you know is involved. Users, transporters and so on! This drug makes people delusional, paranoid, guilty of false accusations, see things that are not there and makes them select the drug ahead of their own children. Imagine how powerful a drug must be to select it over your own children and family.

I would hope that Judge Sanders and Judge Tobias would take a brutally hard stand against mothers and fathers that have a methamphetamine addiction. In custody battles, there should be no question that a meth addict should have any custody over their child until they undergo a complete extensive program that helps them alleviate their addiction. Children are sacred and precious. They cannot be in good care with addicted parents whether it is the mother or the father.

I have lived here over 40 years and never seen anything like this. It’s time for law enforcement to treat this like an epidemic, like a war, so get out there and clean it up.”
