DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Juan Garrido, 23, of 1101 East Ventura Blvd. in Oxnard, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at East and South streets at 12:20 a.m. Sunday.

INFLICT INJURY ON CHILD: Hollister resident Ronald Alfred Cermeno, 42, was arrested at 8 p.m. Saturday by San Benito County Sheriff deputies at his home at 1690 Buena Vista Road for allegedly injuring his juvenile daughter by throwing a plastic electrical outlet cover that struck her below the right eye, throwing a porcelain lamp that hit her shoulder and slapping the left side of her face after an argument over the volume of the television.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Victor Anthony Chavez, 37, of 711 South St. #26 was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08, a misdemeanor, on Highway 25 south of the San Benito County line at 10:27 p.m. Saturday.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Ernesto Gomez, 29, of 99 Marne Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of .10 on Highway 25, south of Shore Road at 1:43 a.m. Saturday.

VEHICLE THEFT: Alejandro N. Rosales, 23, of 50 Ranchito Court in Hollister was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for stealing a vehicle, a felony, on Lovers Lane, west of Highway 152 at 11:48 a.m. Saturday.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Nancy Mendoza, 40, of 1431 Thomas Road in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for driving under the influence at Sally and Hawkins streets at 1:58 a.m. Saturday.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Aileen Cheryl Batis, 39, of 234 Holland Circle in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police at 200 San Felipe Road for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at 11:16 p.m. Friday.

POSSESSION AND DUI: Edwin C. Figueroa, 21, of 2434 Almond St. in Dos Palos, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on San Felipe Road, south of Highway 156 at 7:25 p.m. Friday.
