parade: The Saddle Horse Parade is still looking for participants. We accept walkers, cars, bands, trucks, floats, etc. If you are interested in being a Parade participant, applications are available at the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce office at 650 San Benito St., Suite 130, #637-5315. Fees are $25 for a single entry or $40 for a double entry. The theme is circa 1800 Western. The deadline for entry is Friday, June 4. Don’t miss the parade on Thursday, June 24 at 6 p.m. in downtown Hollister.
HORSE SHOW: The 71st annual San Benito County Saddle and Horse Show and Rodeo will be held Friday, June 25 to Sunday, June 27 at the Bolado Park Fairgrounds. The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday and continues at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Friday night tickets cost $7 and $10 for Saturday and Sunday. Call 831-628-3545 for more information.
Peddler’s Faire Revisted: Will close the following streets in San Juan Bautista from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday June 5 and 6: Third Street between Muckelemi and Franklin; Muckelemi between Second and Fourth; Polk between Second and Fourth; Mariposa between Second and Fourth; Washington between Second and Fourth. Any vehicle parked on the streets will be towed at the owners expense
VETS PARK: Veterans’ Memorial Park Commission meeting will be held Monday, June 7 at the board chambers.

Stage Company: Pre-registration for the San Benito Stage Company’s Children’s Summer Theatre Camp runs through June 15. The fee is $100, with a $10 discount for each additional sibling. The camp runs from Tuesday, July 6 to Saturday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s open to boys and girls ages 6 to 12 years old. Cancer Survivor Celebration: Join us from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 18 at the San Benito Land and Title on 260 Tres Pinos Road in Hollister and meet other cancer survivors in the community and learn how you can get involved with Hollister’s Relay for Life.
