If you don’t have command of or comprehension of the English language, you don’t need to vote and here’s why.
Before voting, the biggest issue to address, which starts at home, is getting people to devote the necessary time and effort to inform themselves about the issues and candidates before going to the polls. There’s no benefit to encourage the uninformed to vote, which is what wannabe politicians have done in the past. Fact is, it’s detrimental.
A person’s civic responsibility isn’t just casting a ballot, but casting an informed ballot.
This is why bilingual resources are unnecessary at the polls.
If you’re not informed about the issues and candidates, do everyone a favor and stay home on Election Day.
Finally, Mr. Conroy comes clean. To hell with city business, residents, District 1 voters and fellow council members.
Surely, you knew when you ran for city council the requirements of the position including emergency and special meetings. You knew your priorities were going to have to change. You intentionally deceived the voters in District 1 when you knowingly had no intention of rearranging your priorities.
Your recent behavior is telling us your abandoning your city responsibilities.
You’re a poor council man, not because of your decisions but because of your absences.
At this point in time, closing the budget should be council’s highest priority and a matter of urgency. To accomplish this, all five council members must participate in positive discussion and bring open minds and positive attitudes to the table.
Mr. Conroy, didn’t you take an oath to the constitution of California and the United States of America?
I thought we lived in a representative democracy where the people elected to office are supposed to represent the people who elected them.
Who’s representing District 1 in your absence Mr. Conroy?
Mr. Conroy, you owe the residents, District 1 voters and fellow council members an apology.
