Driving under the influence:
n Arturo Gullardo, 19, who lives on the 3000 block of Southside Road in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence and driving without a license, misdemeanors, at the Southside Road Labor Camp at 11:50pm on Friday.
n Steven Edward Medina, 41, who lives on the 300 block of Ridgemark Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license for a prior DUI arrest, misdemeanors, and driving with an open container, an infraction, at Fraizer Lake Road, south of Miller Creek, at 12:40pm on Sunday.
n Angie Pastrana, 29, who lives in the 50 block of Ortiz Court in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence and possession of a pipe, misdemeanors, on Highway 25, south of McCloskey Road, at 1:20am on Sunday.
Possession of Controlled substance:
n Marina Rocha Piona, 38, of 80 Santa Ana Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies for possession of methamphetamine, bringing narcotics into the jail, and three felony drug-related warrants, all felonies, at Valley View and Sunnyslope roads around 8:30am on Sunday. Upon arrival at the San Benito County Jail, correctional officers found methamphetamine in a rolled-up $20 bill in her shoe, and methamphetamine in a zip-lock bag located on her body after a strip-search, police said.
Assault with a deadly weapon:
n Kaleb Villareal, 28, of 1371 Hillcrest Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies at his residence around 11pm on Friday for assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, after an
argument he had with another resident at his home escalated and he threw a cordless phone at the person, causing a one-inch gash to the back of his scalp, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, police said.
