UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS:

Lauro Mata Vela, 35, of 291 Gibson Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a methamphetamine pipe, misdemeanors, in the 200 block of Gibson Drive at 5:19am on Tuesday after someone reported that Vela was under the influence, police said.

BURGLARY:

One 15-year-old and three 14-year-old female juveniles of Hollister were arrested by Hollister police for burglary, a felony, and minors in possession of alcohol, a misdemeanor, after they stole two bottles of vodka from Albertsons at 12:30pm on Tuesday, police said.

Unknown suspects entered a residence in the 1200 block of Jan Avenue in Hollister through an unlocked rear door and stole credit cards and checks sometime between Monday and Tuesday, police said.

USING COUNTERFEIT MONEY:

Juan Juarez Ortega, 42, of 941 Sunnyslope Rd. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for attempting to cash a counterfeit $100 bill at Washington Mutual Bank, a felony, at 9:20am on Tuesday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
