CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND ASSAULT TO A POLICE OFFICER:

David Lara, Jr., 35, of 464 Seventh St. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police on Tuesday at 10:26pm in the 400 block of Seventh Street for child endangerment and assault to a police officer, felonies, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, police said. Lara allegedly bit a 16-year-old boy and then struck an officer twice in the face when the officer was trying to take him into custody, police said. It took four officers to arrest Lara, and one of them injured his back during the struggle, police said.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE:

Robert Ronald Silva, 34, of 1651 Petaluma Ct. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for domestic violence, a felony, after he allegedly kicked a female he has a relationship with, police said. The incident occurred on Tuesday at 7:20pm, but Silva was taken into custody at 8am on Wednesday when he turned himself into police, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
