USE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE:
Paul Aleman Palma, 19, of 361 Haydon St. in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, in the 2300 block of San Juan/Hollister Road at 3am on Sunday, police said.
Gonzalo Tamayo Ramirez, Jr., 21, of 190 Sierra Ct. in Hollister, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, misdemeanors, and was cited for possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, in the 2300 block of San Juan/Hollister Road at 3am on Sunday, police said.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE:
Maria De La Luz Pacheco, 47, of Fresno, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence, having an open container while driving and driving with a suspended license, misdemeanors, at Highway 101 at Rocks Road at 11:32pm on Sunday, police said.
Jose Juan Rodriguez, 26, who lives in the 1500 block of Highland Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Meridian Street at 12:50am on Monday, police said.
Adulfo Carlos Hernandez, 36, who lives in the 60 block of South St. in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, on Highway 156 at Union Road at 3:07am on Monday, police said.
BATTERY:
Lon Oneal Braswell, 21, of 731 La Baig Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police in the 700 block of La Baig Drive at 4:15pm on Monday for battery and brandishing a deadly weapon, misdemeanors, after an argument between him and a man he knows escalated and he picked up a pipe to hit him, dropped it and choked him instead, police said. The victim had some redness to his throat but declined medical attention, police said.
THEFT:
Unknown suspects stole a mini-pincher dog worth about $1,000 from Pet World around 12:17 on Monday, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
