A Hollister woman received minor injuries in a traffic collision Wednesday morning in San Juan Bautista.
Susan Ramirez, 47, of Hollister sustained a swollen left hand and reported pain in her left hand and arm when her 1991 Toyota was struck by a car driven by Felix Cabrera, 52, of San Juan Bautista at the intersection of Fourth Street and The Alameda in San Juan.
The 10:35 a.m. accident occurred when Cabrera, driving a 1986 Pontiac, failed to yield the right-of-way to Ramirez as he entered the intersection eastbound from Fourth Street, the California Highway Patrol said.
Ramirez’s injury did not require emergency medical assistance, the CHP said. Cabrera was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the CHP said, and no arrests were made.
In a separate accident Wednesday, a Gilroy man received minor injuries in a collision with a car driven by Frederick George, 33, of Hollister on U.S. 101 in Gilroy.
The 5:30 p.m. accident occurred when George was southbound on 101 in a 1997 Geo Metro and struck the rear of a 2002 Nissan driven by Manjeet Dhillon, 49, of Gilroy as George changed lanes north of the Sixth Street overcrossing, the CHP said.
Dhillon reported pain in his head from a collision with the steering wheel, but there was no evidence of injury, the CHP said. He was taken by ambulance to St. Louise Regional Hospital.
George was not injured, the CHP said. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no arrests were made.
