Revolution as a DAR Good Citizen.
San Benito High School student Janelle Spencer was recently honored by the Gabilan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution as a DAR Good Citizen.
In addition, Spring Grove School fifth-grader Hanna Bernoskey and two San Benito Christian School students – seventh-grader Ryan Hatcher and ninth-grader Ben Hatcher – were honored as winners of the DAR’s American History Essay competition.
The DAR is a lineage society for women over 18 who descend from someone who served the American cause during the Revolutionary War. For more information, call Verona Flint at 637-4630.
