Old and new faces excelled at Hollister High’s annual Red and White intrasquad track and field meet Wednesday.

Veteran track performers Steve Bianchi and Lee Osborne dominated the sprints and jumps, while Jesse Rice made a statement he’ll bring some valuable points in the 400-meter run this year.

Clay Peer smashed his personal best in the shot put with a heave of 46 feet. Juan Rodriguez tossed the discus 112-10.

For the Baler girls, Jamie O’Brian ran to victories in the 100, 200 and 400 meters while Kory Case took her favorite event, the 330-meter hurdles.

Amanda Boyd, just a freshman, is going to be a great addition this year in the 400, long and triple jumps. Tracie Hopkins, another new entry, looked good in the high jump, according to coach Jennifer Logue.

The annual Samuelson Co-Ed Relays are Saturday at 9 a.m.
