Anyone who has a love for art, crafts, music and outdoor festivals shouldn’t miss Gavilan College’s first annual Expressive Arts Festival Saturday.
The outdoor festival on the Gavilan College Gilroy campus will be a day for community enjoyment of the arts.
The festival will feature live music, crafts vendors, an art exhibit and children’s activities. Admission to the festival and event parking are free to the public.
The festival will run from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday. An outdoor pre-show for the theater begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Arts Quad in front of the theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
The festival is the brainchild of student Marta Sherwood, president of the Gavilan College Music Club, who wanted to provide a day for celebration and enjoyment of the arts and a venue for local musicians and artists to perform and exhibit.
