Two Hollister High seniors took part in the North-South Boys
All-Star volleyball game last Tuesday at Palma High in Salinas. Led
by the Balers Brannon Wynn and Travis Fowles, the North defeated
the South in three games 25-22, 25-18 27-25. All games were played
in rally scoring.
Two Hollister High seniors took part in the North-South Boys All-Star volleyball game last Tuesday at Palma High in Salinas. Led by the Balers Brannon Wynn and Travis Fowles, the North defeated the South in three games 25-22, 25-18 27-25. All games were played in rally scoring.

Wynn was also selected to the Tri-County Athletic League’s First Team All-League, while Fowles was chosen to the T-CAL Second Team.

The Baler boys also released their team awards:

Brannon Wynn – Co-Captain and MVP

Travis Fowles – Co-Captain and Coaches Award

Kyle Fowles – Best Passer

Eddie Kaufman – Best Defensive Player

Thomas Rebecci – Best Blocker

Nathan Thome – Most Improved

Jeff Hawks – Sportsmanship

-In girls volleyball, four Baler players will play in the Junior Olympic volleyball championships in Atlanta. The tournament runs from June 29 to July 2. Going to Atlanta are Kim Dabo and Kaylie Kortsen, who play for the Club Yahoo 18’s; Alyssa Fowles, who plays for City Beach 17’s; and Melissa Moore, who plays for Vision’s 17’s.
