The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce announced that Monte Vigne by Pacific Union Homes will sponsor the 14th Annual Taste of Morgan Hill, Sept. 27 and 28.
Attracting nearly 50,000 people each year, the festival closes Monterey Road in downtown Morgan Hill both days from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and expands over six blocks on Monterey Road from Main to Dunne and First through Fifth streets. The festival offers free admission, parking and secured bicycle parking on West First Street where cyclists will receive a free water bottle from Specialized Bicycles.
The Taste is designed to entertain the entire family. Taste delectable foods from many Morgan Hill restaurants as well as the food booths with out-of-town delicacies. Drink vintage wines from local wineries and enjoy a wide variety of Micro-brewed and domestic beers. Shopping enthusiasts can stroll through the more than 150 fine arts and crafts booths and local downtown businesses displaying their merchandise in front of their stores. Pick up information on Morgan Hill organizations.
Sit back and relax or get up and dance to this year’s spectacular music lineup with two stages of entertainment – one on East First Street; one on West Third Street. Visit the Kids Zone featuring hands-on demonstrations, kiddie rides and make-your-own craft booths and, returning bigger and better than ever, is the Custom and Classic Car show.
Sunday Minnich, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, said the purpose of the Taste of Morgan Hill is to provide quality family entertainment and celebration for community members and visitors. And it helps to raise awareness of what Morgan Hill, its businesses and community service groups have to offer. Funds raise during the Taste support the Chamber, allowing it to continue its many programs and community service.
