To the person who wrote about helping Richard and the other
three County Supervisors, guess who were sitting on the Board of
Supervisors when the out of control growth was happening? Yes, you
guessed it. Richard, Bob, Rita and Ruth. Your elected County
Supervisors.
You got your facts wrong. Point in case, who do you think
approved all the expensive county homes? Yes, Richard, Bob, Rita
and Ruth.

And do you know that over 70 percent of our community makes less than $100,000 per year and are still unable to purchase one of these county homes that the county Board approved?
And then you say no jobs. Well over 50 percent of our community travels over 100 miles a day just to find work.
The County Board of Supervisors have never been friendly to job creation. We must support job creation otherwise our children will be traveling over 120 miles a day just to find jobs.
Also, who do you think is going to pay for all the public services, not houses, because you want to stop smart growth. You should thank Richard, Bob, Rita and Ruth for the bad growth and no jobs in our community. Wait a minute, to the public on the March 2, 2004 elections, LETS KICK THE BUMS OUT OF OFFICE.”
“There once was a man named
Kiefert
Who ranted until all of his teeth hurt
Writing for others
Who remained under covers
Too afraid to face those that they
hurt.”
“After reading the heartbreaking story from the family of De La Rosa, I felt compelled to say that you are not alone. Yolanda, especially, you said it right. My family and I have been in law enforcement for 20 years now. It seems that all our hard work is being stepped on by that outrageous John Sarsfield. My husband now nearing retirement feels he too would be at risk if we spoke out in public. Now with Citizens Voice, we are speaking out. How dare he use our District Attorney Office for personal reasons. Did he consider all the trauma of the victims and law enforcement that worked so hard to put those monsters behind bars. I don’t think recall is fast enough, he needs to resign now. So many of our friends in law enforcement want him to leave our County and bring it back to the people who will defend victims, not help criminals.”
“Residents of San Benito County put the Board of Supervisors on notice. The next CEO and public works director that is hired should have impressive resumes, with letters of recommendations from the last three employers, which the public can scrutinize.”
“County Counsel Karen Forcum in her quotation statement to the Free Lance of Oct. 21 in regards to the petition request by attorney Michael Pekin sounds like she is attempting to squash any debate on his petition.
Mr. Pekin should be allowed to present his petition on behalf of his client so the Board of Supervisors and the public can be made aware of his complaint.
County Counsel Karen Forcum is paid by the taxpayers and she in her capacity protects the interests of the taxpayer, not the interest of a chosen few!”
