Dear Editor:

It is with the greatest enthusiasm that I write in favor of John Sarsfield, our next district attorney.

I have known and worked with John for the 10 years he has lived in San Benito County. He has provided wise and strong leadership in working with and for the young people of our community.

As a director of the 33rd Agricultural District, he supported 4-H and FFA.

As a director of the United Way, he has supported youth programs for all youth in San Benito County.

As a founding member of the Board of Managers of the YMCA, he has personally worked on programs for our kids; and, somehow, he finds the time to coach Anzar High School’s champion Mock Trial Team.

John Sarsfield is the architect of Monterey County’s truancy program. This effective partnership between schools and the district attorney’s office is a model for the state. John will establish the program here.

John Sarsfield is committed to family and community. It is a privilege to be able to support a candidate of such integrity.

Tim Foley,

San Benito County Superintendent of Schools
