Kids Discover Arts

The City of Gilroy Recreation Department, Gilroy Garlic Festival Association and Gilroy Rotary Club present the annual Kids Discover Arts event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday, March 2, at Wheeler Community Center, 250 W. Sixth St., Gilroy. Local art professionals will conduct more than 20 different free workshops and hands-on arts activities for children aged 5 to 11 years.

St. Mary School casino night

St. Mary School in Gilroy invites the community to its Great Gatsby Casino Night from 7 to 11:30 p.m. March 2 in the St. Mary School gym, 7900 Church St., Gilroy. BookSmart party for ‘Forged in Grace’

BookSmart of Morgan Hill will host a publication party for Morgan Hill author, Jordan E. Rosenfeld, from 3 to  5 p.m. Saturday, March 2. There will be a raffle, wine and dramatic readings. ‘Forged in Grace’ is Rosenfeld’s first novel, about a burn survivor who discovers she has the power to heal.
