It appears Robert Guerrero is ready to get back in the ring.

The Gilroy fighter, who coming off a loss to Floyd Mayweather last month, has challenged Victor Ortiz to fight him.

Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KO) sent text messages to Ortiz (29-4-2, 22 KO) saying that they should fight to determine “who’s Cali’s best.” A snapshot of the conversation was posted by Guerrero on his Twitter page.

Ortiz was rumored to be fighting Shane Mosley later this year after not fighting since June 2012 when he broke his jaw in a fight against Josesito Lopez.
