These local politicians—from left, San Benito County supervisors Jaime de La Cruz and Peter Hernandez, Mayor Ignacio Velazquez and Councilmember Rolan Resendiz— donned shiny red high-heeled shoes April 13 and joined hundreds of mostly men and boys on San Benito Street in the 7th Annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes march to raise awareness about gender violence and help end sexual assault in San Benito County.
