Public School Administrators were honored May 9 at the
International Steinbeck Center in Salinas. The Association of
California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 10 held its annual
Spring Fling Awards Dinner honoring administrators and managers for
their contributions to public education.
Public School Administrators were honored May 9 at the International Steinbeck Center in Salinas. The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region 10 held its annual Spring Fling Awards Dinner honoring administrators and managers for their contributions to public education.
Administrators retiring from public education were also recognized at the Steinbeck event. 190 Administrators and guests attended the awards banquet. Each award recipient was also recognized by the offices of Assemblyman Bill Monning and Assemblyman Luis Alejo. ACSA Region 10 represents public school administrators and managers in Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey counties.
Attendees were greeted by the sounds of the Salinas High School Jazz ensemble which preceded a buffet.
ACSA Region 10 honored the following San Benito County 2011 educational leaders:
Elementary Principal of the Year: Aggie Obeso-Bradley
Elementary Co-Administrator of the Year: Elaine Klauer
Human Resources Administrator: Dennis Kurtz
Classified Leader of the Year: Shannon Hansen
Confidential Employee of the Year: Suzie Souza
Other special ACSA Region 10 Awards were also given out at the dinner, including:
Blanche Montague Award: Donald Knapp (San Benito County)
