a long illness.

Adrian Reyes Soto died Thursday, July 3, at the age of 74 after a long illness.
Born in Hollister, Soto attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, majoring in horticulture, before joining the U.S. Army. He had a love for the outdoors, and was a hunter, fisherman and gardener. He lived in Baja, Calif., before his death in Sunnyvale.
Soto is survived by his children, Debbie Soto of Palo Alto, Linda Miyahara of Sunnyvale, Judy Soto and Adrian Soto Jr., both of Santa Cruz; son-in-law Tim Hirabayashi; family friend Jenny Boltenhouse; siblings Neveda Ann Costa of Fremont, Calif., and Anna Marie Silvey; grandchildren Rachel Soto, Sara Crane and Nicole Miyahara, all of Santa Cruz, and Monique Miyahara of Chico, Calif.; and great-grandchildren Erik and Ruby Soto, both of Santa Cruz. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Graveside memorial services will be Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
