An Artists’ Reception was held at Blak Sage Gallery with more than 100 patrons of the Arts attending. The three-hour event offered residents a chance to see a collection of quilts and fine art currently on display. The San Benito County Arts Council has partnered with the Hollister Downtown Association and Blak Sage Gallery for a two-week exhibit that ends April 18 with a final Artists’ Reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The fine art on display is by some of the artists who will be participating in the San Benito County Open Studios April 25 and 26. This portion of the exhibit includes jewelry, ceramics, paintings, photography, pottery and stained glass. A complete list of artists and their studio locations may be found at www.sanbenitoarts.org.
The Artists’ Reception also included 31 Charming Chairs that have been distributed to businesses along San Benito and Fifth streets for public viewing and bidding. These creative chairs will enhance almost any decor and will be part of a silent auction through April 18, with funds donated to the Downtown Endowment Fund. Final bidding will take place at the gallery.
Live music, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will complete this exhibit of local art on April 18.
