Student studies awarded
The Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Auxiliary recently awarded $20,000
to six recipients who are local students studying to be medical
assistants, ultrasound technologists and nurses.
Three of the recipients, Jaclyn O’Connor, Christine Wilkes and
Stephanie Mauro, are currently attending nursing programs. Dena
Randolph received a scholarship to complete classes to become a
medical assistant. Delia Vallejo received a scholarship to help her
complete the CNA program at Gavilan College and Raelene Rojas is
studying to become an ultrasound technologist.
