San Benito Aquatics swimmers continued to surge ahead with rapid times in a meet at Independence High School’s 50-meter pool in San Jose last weekend.

The following SBA swimmers placed in the top eight of the A Division: Nathan Thomas, 3rd in the 50 breaststroke (1:00.54); Tanner Carrillo-Zazueta, 2nd in the 100 freestyle (1:29.90); Brandon Drogenmuller, 8th in the 800 freestyle (11:29.31), 4th in the 100 backstroke at 1:31.30; Shelli Reed, 2nd in the 100 backstroke (1:16.99), 8th in the 200 freestyle (2:26.42); Brenna Carillo-Zazueta, 8th in the 200 freestyle (2:46.67); Blane Curtice, 4th in the 200 breaststroke (2:54.23), 7th in the 100 freestyle (1:02.94), 8th in the 200 freestyle (2:16.30); Denise Simens, 2nd in the 200 breaststroke (2:55.29), 3rd in the 200 individual medley (2:41.66), 4th in the 100 backstroke (1:19.49) 8th in the 50 freestyle (31.07).

The following SBA swimmers placed in the top eight of the B Division: Stephanie Ego, 7th in the 50 freestyle (1:00.12); Tanner Carillo-Zazueta, 7th in the 50 breaststroke (56:32); Brenna Carillo-Zazueta, 6th in the 200 backstroke (3:11.76); Ryan Drogemuller, 8th in the 50 freestyle (36.65).

Several SBA marks were set: Reed in the 200 backstroke, Brandon Drogemuller in the 200 IM and 800 freestyle and Curtice in the 100 and 200 freestyle, 100 and 200 breaststroke and the200 IM.
