Rams dropped their final contest of the year to host College of San
Mateo by a 10-3 margin.

The Gavilan College baseball team was unable to snap its losing streak before the end of the regular season on Thursday, as the Rams dropped their final contest of the year to host College of San Mateo by a 10-3 margin.
Gavilan finishes its season at 2-22 in the Coast Conference, 6-28 overall. The team dropped its last 18 games of the season.

The Rams scored all three of their runs in the top half of the sixth inning, each of which was knocked in by Kevin Hatchett, who was 1 of 4 with a run scored and three RBI.
Julio Cortez, Robert Celestino and Ramiro Chapa each added two hits apiece for the Rams.
San Mateo, meanwhile, scored runs in the first four innings, jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the first half of the game. It then tacked on two more runs in the sixth and another two runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
San Mateo’s Clay Bauer allowed three runs on six hits over six innings, striking out four batters, while Daniel Chavez and Josh Fredendall finished the game in relief.
Opposite Bauer was Gavilan’s Devon Parrish, who allowed six runs on eight hits over five innings. He struck out three batters before relinquishing the pitching duties to reliever Ryan Navaroli, who finished the game for the Rams.
San Mateo is now 18-4 in the Coast Conference, 26-10 overall.
