Editor,

San Benito County Sheriff Curtis Hill along with Rick Jennings and a few others (very few) all need to wake up and smell the coffee about being so gung-ho on making people think that the Rally is bad for Hollister. Wrong.

Like I’ve said in the past, put the blame where the blame is – not on the bikers, for heaven’s sake.

For instance the gangbangers right here in Hollister, not the bikers, are the troublemakers and use the Rally to come out and do their destruction because they know darn good and well that the bikers will get the blame for any trouble.

Mr. Jennings is dead wrong by trying to say the monies made during the Rally don’t add up. Then he throws in something about peace and quiet. I live by the ballpark and I can barely hear the bikers every once in a while when one goes by Hillcrest – and Hillcrest Road is one of the busiest roads in town.

It was a Hollister women, allegedly drunk, that killed that poor soul on his bike from Lompoc. Now Sheriff Hill is trying to put the blame on the Rally. What a crock!
