Gavilan College’s communications studies program will receive the 2013 Model Communication Program Award from the Western States Communication Association Feb. 18, at a luncheon in Reno, Nev.
St. Luke’s celebrates 110 years: The sanctuary at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will be rededicated Jan. 25 at part of a 110 year anniversary at the local church. The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, the bishop of the Diocese of El Camino Real, will rededicate the sanctuary, which has recently been refurbished. The festivities will include an open house at 5:30 p.m. and a candlelight labyrinth walk, the 7 p.m. festal eucharist and rededication with incense used, and a dessert reception to follow at 8:30 p.m. Clergy are invited to vest and process.
