The San Benito tennis team finished its week Friday with a 4-3 loss to Carmel. No. 1 player Kyle Skinner lost his match to Carmel’s Nick Gurnfanu in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. No. 2 player Geoff Muzik Laos lost in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.

Football: Bocksnick transferring to Morgan Hill school

Quarterback Michael Bocksnick, who last season led San Benito High School to its first Tri-County Athletic League championship in six years, is moving to Morgan Hill and will transfer to Live Oak or Sobrato for his final year of high school, his father, Herb, a former San Benito freshman football coach, said.
