 Funeral arrangements: His ashes will be placed at a later date, in a hiking location he enjoyed.
 A long-time resident of San Ramon, CA, recently passed away in his home. He was 62.
 He had been battling diabetes and related heart disease, and was recently retired from work as a research engineer at PG&E in the bay area.
 Brian’s late parents were William and Arline Donahue. He graduated from Hollister High School in 1971, lettering in football and track and was active in ABS, JV baseball, ski club, and science club. He was all-MTAL defensive end, and a state discus champion.
 He won a football scholarship to Gavilan College, and later attended UC Davis, earning an Electrical Engineering degree with Honors.
 Brian was also an Explorer Scout and Free Mason who enjoyed travel, chess, as well as hiking and camping in the Sierra Nevadas and Big Sur.
 He leaves a sister, Colleen Egland, nephew, Eric, and niece, Anna of San Juan Bautista, many relatives throughout California, and many long-time friends from hiking and church. He was an active Christian throughout his life.
