Bright stars of education
The San Benito County Office of Education last week named the
2008 Teachers of the Year at its annual joint meeting of boards of
trustees.
Sixteen local educators were honored with the recognition.
Teachers of the Year for 2008 were: Pablo Toledo, Aromas-San
Juan School District; Jessica Gautney, San Benito High School; Anne
Marie Filice, Pinnacles Community School; Genie Yamaoka, Pinnacles
Court School; Gloria Brooks, Santa Ana Opportunity School; Barbara
Murray, San Andreas High School; and Sharon Gitzen, rural
schools.

Hardin School; Mark Lange, Sunnyslope School; Janet Grist, Marguerite Maze Middle School; and William “Bill” Parcell, Rancho San Justo Middle School.
