MOVING WALL BRUNCH: A special program and brunch thanking volunteers of the Moving Wall Vietnam Memorial, which visited Hollister over the 4th of July, will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a brunch at 11:45 on Sunday, August 1 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on 2121 Sunnyslope Rd. DONATIONS FOR RUMMAGE SALE:  Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (FOSMAS) are preparing for their third annual rummage sale to be held in September. We are now accepting donations of usable household goods, clothing, pet supplies, etc. Tax-deductible donations may be dropped off at the San Martin Shelter, 12370 Murphy Avenue, San Martin Monday-Saturday, 12:00-5:00 p.m. (closed Tuesday). 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: The First Presbyterian Vacation Bible School will take place on Aug. 9-13. “Lava Lava Island, where God’s love flows,” is the theme for this week of Bible fun, crafts, games, food and music. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: Local law enforcement is sponsoring the National Night Out from 5 p.m. to dusk on Tuesday Aug. 3 at the state historic park plaza in the San Juan Bautista Mission. The purpose of the event is to heighten crime and drug awareness prevention, generate support and participation in local crime fighting efforts and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community patnerships.
