VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: The Presbyterian Church of Hollister will hold its Son Harvest County Fair Vacation Bible School from July 14-18 from 1 to 4 p.m. Children ages 5 through fifth grade are welcome to attend. Volunteers are also needed from ages sixth grade to adults.

SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM: Free meals will be made available to all children younger than 18 through the Summer Food Service Program. The federally funded program runs July 15, Monday through Friday except July 4, at Spring Grove School. Breakfast is served 7:30 to 7:55 a.m. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to noon. children’s program: The Aromas Branch of the Monterey County Free Libraries is hosting a children’s program given by P&T Puppet Theater on July 17 at 10 a.m. P&T Puppet Theater will delight children with puppetry inspired from children’s literature and folklore. RELAY FOR LIFE: The Hollister Relay for Life and The American Cancer Society will hold a dining out fund-raiser July 23 at Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant in Gilroy in which Chevy’s will donate 20 percent of the proceeds.

library book sale: Friends of the Library is having a book sale Saturday, July 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the courtyard and shed behind the library at 470 Fifth St. New and used books are for sale for every interest area and reading level.
