Bill’s Bullpen downsizing to downtown store

Bill Mifsud, Jr. wants to be very clear that the comic book store that has been a Hollister mainstay for 17 years isn’t closing – it’s consolidating.

But in order to consolidate the store into the downtown location at 207 Fourth Street, Bill and his father, also named Bill, will close their alternate location at 576 Tres Pinos Road on March 1.

“This is our mother store,” Bill Mifsud, Jr. said. “We’re more established here. We’ve been downtown since the earthquake.”

The consolidation means big savings for local comics and card collectors with a 50 percent off sale running through the month of February to reduce inventory.
