Chamber website

The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau recently launched its new website – with a focus on making it more educational with a larger emphasis on tourism.

The website – sanbenitocountychamber.com – was designed at no cost to the chamber by Chamber Web Design. It features a bulletin board, classified section, interactive events calendar, a news scroll, revenue sharing for the organization, video and a lot more added links.

“In a couple weeks, we’ll have another option on there to pay for events online,” said chamber President Debbie Taylor.

Taylor said she would “absolutely recommend” the design team, led by David Marin, and said the chamber was an “extremely, extremely satisfied” client.

“The support has been very solid,” Taylor said. “They’ve also helped us to work through some of the tweaking we had to do. The training was very thorough.”

She mentioned Chamber Web Design has already redesigned the Morgan Hill chamber’s site and is working on one for the Milpitas chamber, too.

Taylor was particularly pleased with the video on the home page.

“It really does highlight San Benito County,” she said.

Additionally, the chamber has another major change ahead. It will be moving its office from the spot at 650 San Benito St. to a new location, 243 Sixth St. It will be closed on its moving day, Sept. 14, and will reopen at the new spot Sept. 17.
