Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday, April 27th, 2014, from 5:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M., with the rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 28th, 2014, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Patrick’s Church with the burial following at Valley Public Cemetery.
Carmen volunteered every year with voter registration and as a teacher’s aide. She fed and took in anyone in her presence that needed it and everyone was greeted with her famous tortillas.
A devout Catholic, Carmen also believed in the power of positive thinking and teaching all who were close to her the real meaning of unconditional love and grace.
Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Ray.
She is survived by a daughter; sons, Ray, Jimmy (Janet) and Dennis; three brothers; one sister; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
