San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau President/CEO Jessica French has been recognized as an Accredited Chamber Executive by the Western Association of Chamber Executives.

French was awarded at this year’s conference in Los Angeles and was among three executives to get the honor, according to an announcement from the WACE organization. The designation is given only to those chamber executives who meet “stringent criteria” set by the group’s board of directors.

The accreditation program was started in 1993 to encourage chamber executives to upgrade their skills through continued education and training in chamber management and business fields, according to WACE.

There are 42 recipients of the designation who are active in chambers in the West. Each must apply for re-accreditation every five years to retain it.
