I would like to know what’s wrong with the people in this
community that they would discard animals without any thought about
their safety. I’m talking about the people who threw away some
kittens at (a local liquor) store and left them there to fend for
themselves. Somebody came along and kicked one of the kittens and
now that kitten died on the surgery table and he’s no longer
here.

I think it is disgusting that people have kittens and don’t take care of them. There are plenty of places in this community to take your unwanted kittens where they will be safe. We have All Creatures Great and Small. We have Pet Friends. We have the animal shelter.

It’s wrong for you to dump kittens and expect them to fend for themselves. Shame on you. I’m very displeased. I think it’s rude and disrespectful to human life and disrespectful to life that God gave us.

If you have a cat that hasn’t been taken care of and it becomes pregnant and has kittens, it is your responsibility to make sure those kittens lead a safe and happy life. You need to be responsible. Now, suck it up people and do the right thing.”

“Thank God Hollister didn’t throw away one of the most honest and ethical individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, (Hollister’s new Police Chief Jeff Miller).

I have been ashamed to work at Rohnert Park ever since his resignation. To this day I cannot believe that he was treated in the manner that he was. Tragically, Jeff inherited an agency that had the following problems:

1. His predecessor had allowed too many people to free lance for too long.

2. The agency was ripe with discontented ‘wound lickers’ because we did not promote from within the ranks. They began undermining poor Jeff before he even got on board.

3. Jeff is a great leader. Unfortunately, Rohnert Park has a huge contingent of bad followers. They make life very difficult because we expend an inordinate amount of time changing diapers around here rather than doing police work.

4. His boss, the city manager, was extremely unpopular with the POA and the City Council that the POA bought. Jeff was marked for the axe because he wouldn’t conspire against his boss and take sides with the POA.

Well, it’s a much darker place here in Rohnert Park now. The smoking ruins of a once good department still haunt me. We live in a constant state of turmoil and political intrigue around here and I am just waiting for the house of cards to come crashing down around us.

My best wishes to Hollister PD. Your gain is our loss. Just out of curiosity, are there any openings at the PD? I would definitely be interested in returning to sanity and leaving the employ of the ‘Queen of Hearts.'”
