Why is local government so concerned about building a new animal
shelter for the homeless animals when there are thousands of
homeless people in the area with no human shelter?

“Why is local government so concerned about building a new animal shelter for the homeless animals when there are thousands of homeless people in the area with no human shelter?”

“Why is nobody in government commenting on the large convoy of military vehicles headed through town late at night heading south on 25?

Why is your paper not commenting on this large movement of military vehicles to the south?

I smell a government conspiracy! We have the right to know!”

“I want to take the time to thank the dreamer for sharing her Halloween dream with the rest of us. We appreciate the fact that you took the time out from writing your son who is doing time in Federal prison just to entertain us.”

“Nothing has been said about the Marshal/Councilman voting against raising impact fees. Here we have a new member of the Council that appears will vote for more development and get less money for it. Looks like the developers have just made a new purchase to me.”

“I’ve been carefully reading each article on Los Valientes and Don Kelley. I have yet to see a single shred of proof in any of their allegations, yet you continue to write as if they are true.

I hope that when you’re finally satisfied with the smear, your headlines will be as big and bold, ‘VALIENTES: CLAIMS ARE BOGUS.'”

“In response to the Citizens Voice on Oct. 30 regarding Richard Place voting for years pro-growth – let me set the story straight.

Richard only voted on one subdivision during his time on the Board and that was the Paicines Ranch project which he voted against. He voted yes to allow Rancho San Benito to apply for a permit, because you can’t turn it down, as the Board did, without first accepting the application. To deny the right of the citizen to apply for anything is to deny them their right under the Constitution. All other subdivisions built during that time were voted on by Ruth Kesler, including Rancho Larieos, which she voted for except for the final vote on the water contract. It was obvious that she had traded that vote out, as she had always voted yes on that project and was up for re-election.”

“I don’t think it was wrong for the woman to briefly leave her 3-year-old in the car in front of the Tres Pinos post office. If you have seen the post office, the car and child can always be seen and it’s probably safer overall to leave the child in the car. It also ‘only takes one second’ to drop the boy or girl on their head while fumbling with the doors or mail. Perhaps the insulted (and insulting) mother of three left her common sense somewhere and can’t find it. I’m glad the police officer had his.”

“I have to repeat, the County Board of Supervisors hiring his attorney Owens is outrageous! What are they trying to cover up? And why aren’t they opening up all the public records? Some more cover up. This is not the Board’s money they are spending, it is ours, the taxpayer. Now I can guess where the $7 million dollars went – to attorneys to assist in covering up the truth.”
