Judge drops Orabuena felony charges
”
gives us some hope for our local justice system. In spite of
John Sarsfield and his Deputy Denny Wei, justice seems to have
prevailed to some extent.
I was encouraged when Judge Harry Tobias first lowered the bail
from one million to thirty thousand dollars and now an out of town
judge saw through Wei’s shenanigans and tossed the felonies. It
looks like it is going to take a judge to make the tough decisions
that will shut down the DA’s Office and get our system back on the
right track.
“Your article “Judge drops Orabuena felony charges” gives us some hope for our local justice system. In spite of John Sarsfield and his Deputy Denny Wei, justice seems to have prevailed to some extent.

It looks like it is going to take a judge to make the tough decisions that will shut down the DA’s Office and get our system back on the right track.
The sad part of this is the DA knew this was not a felony and still put this man through hell. This case is no different than the motorcycle versus school bus…it was an accident and they’re still pursuing the misdemeanors on Orabuena. Next thing you know, they will be trying to arrest the bus driver.
The good news is it seems like the DA is not going to be able to pull the wool over Judge Tobias’ eyes and Tobias sounds like he’s tough enough to say no and throw the bad cases out. Hopefully the rest of the charges against Orabuena will be dismissed.”
Lets face it people we only have three candidates in the race for governor. Arnold: Good at one liners. Bustamante: Wanted to crush our cars to offset big industrial polluters and we recently find out he aligns with some wacko group who wants to turn California over to Mexico. Will most definitely raise every tax he can and chip away at prop 13 making it ineffective. Last but not least, Tom McClintock: Co-authored the Tax Rebate Act, returning $1.1 billion to taxpayers, served as Director of the Center for the California Taxpayer, a project of the National Tax Limitation Foundation, Director of Economic and Regulatory Affairs for the Claremont Institute. Served two terms in the State Assembly before his election in 2000 to the State Senate.
Obviously,Tom McClintock has the credentials needed to move California ahead and out of this current crises. Back in February 2001 he said “To change the status quo, you must be able and willing to maintain your vision and endure in the minority until the necessity for change exceeds the natural resistance of an electorate to change.”
Well Tom has kept the vision of fiscal responsibility alive and he endures and God knows California must dump the status quo. We need Tom McClintock the only logical man for the job, the only man with financial logic.”
“A big thank you to Supervisor Ruth Kesler for giving back to the community: First, a donation of $1,000 to San Juan youth soccer for uniforms; now, $2,000 to the Emmaus House. Your kindness and thoughtfulness has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. Too bad the other four Supervisors didn’t follow your example.”
